Paula Myburgh (Community Governor)

Term: December 2023 to December 2027

As a Finance Director in the city, my days are busy, yet my passion for children and equitable treatment drives me to serve as a school governor. Beyond my professional role, I am actively involved in community service. I've spent three years as a team leader for a charity at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Additionally, I've led groups at summer youth camps, served as a reading mentor and participated in various one-off charity days. My husband and two stepsons, both at HGSS, are rugby and wrestling fanatics so I'll often be found standing in wherever needed at these events. Lastly, I am an avid traveller and am fortunate to have visited 51 countries (and counting)!

As a community governor, I seek to ensure that every child, regardless of their circumstances, receives fair treatment and opportunities whilst staff are equally respected and acknowledged. I recognise the importance of holding our school accountable to high standards while offering encouragement and assistance in reaching them.
