Visors for the NHS
A huge thank you to the Holmer Green and Hazlemere communities who supported our school in manufacturing visors for the NHS in the early months of the pandemic.
The unprecedented demand meant that we soon exhausted school supplies. However, due to the support of local people we were able to buy materials and even more 3D printers to enable us to continue making visors for many more months to come.
Thanks to kind donations from Taplow Masons, thanks to Miss Simpson for telling them about the project and Qadeer Ahmed, a local business man and former parent governor, we were able to purchase an additional three 3D printers which sped up production tremendously. Those printers are now available for the pupils of Holmer Green Senior School to use in their D&T lessons.
Thanks also to Marlow Riders Cycle Club, Jarrod Green, Mrs Towers & Sophie O' Brien who all kindly donated PLA, the material the visors are printed from, which enabled us to keep printing.
In total we manufactured around 2500 visors which were all donated to local Hospitals, GPs, Care homes, Police & Pharmacies who were all very grateful.
